stairway papertray (2007)

How can objects change our surrounding space? If architecture envelopes space within, then objects radiate the space around them. I created the papertray to organise a stack of A4 paper in cascading stairway manner. The flat corian surface when uninhabited by paper feels almost like an empty arena, awaiting the next performance.
