Yong Jieyu enjoys exploring design in its full spectrum. From the simple pleasures of a well-made product to critical pieces of designed objects that goes beyond pure form and function, his projects and products draw deeply on contextural research, resulting in designs that often converse on multiple levels.
In 2008, he graduated from the IM Masters course of the Design Academy Eindhoven with a scholarship from DesignSingapore.
Building on the understanding that tomorrow's world is collectively shaped by daily decisions of each individual, his thesis work Designing Consequences discusses how Design can become an extremely audible voice in the process of social evolution by designing projected consequences to influence each individual choice.
Jieyu is currently working independantly and looks forward to collaborations with visionary clients and friends.
